Future of the world

I'd like to give reasons for why the GWB-US Version
doesn't seem to suit the majority of german people.
When it comes to discussing the new us-german relationsship
most of the times the reasons given are loosing track, at
least from my point of view. German people were very exited
when cold war stopped and there was an utopia named peace
shining on the horizon. But instead of the global comunity
"gestalten" the new promissing space, we are witnessing how
comunity has been reduced in terms of profit making. Profits
are important, sure, but all of business justification lies
in its final goal, to serve mankind.
So instead of doing anything else with it, we let IWF, world
bank, oil companies, war machinery, in one word turbo captalism
define what our future will look like. As our president puts
it in his berlin speech, globalism needs to be "gestaltet" by
the many, not the few. Except for the very few big profit making
instances, there are no goodies for the rest of us.
And then come us authorities and cancel one of those goodies,
namely kyoto. The justification of cause was in terms of business
development. Then comes Sep 911 and the whole western world is
to serve us plans. Sure, we need an answer to the terrifying
things that happend. But the only answers given were in terms of
activating cold war machinery, without presenting any proof of
evidence of someone beeing guilty, so far.
Then we learn about GWBs private involvements with the
military-industrial complex and enron. Of course we knew about
the Bushes and the CIA already. Here comes a man equipted with
the power of the most powerful nations and all he seems to do is
providing protectionism for military, secret service and oil
companies.
Of course we are not that naive. We know that us presidents don't
have the freedom to do what they like to. But unless there aren't
any attractive visions about what the future of the world might
be for all of us, and unless someone in power seems to be devoted
to passionately reaching this goal, this someone is superfluous
to the many, except to the few.
